“ When my sister signed up for them they told her all the good things and glorious things. Come to find out they were charging her over 300.00 a month for services a bunch of liars and crooks. Dont trust what they tell you ”

Disappointing experience.
“ They have their agents roaming at market places where they could find potential customer. They lure you with free coupons but when asked about the generosity and hidden policies they fail to answer. The rates are more than double of what we were paying before switching to nrg gas/electricity supply. We now regret our decision and switching back to our old supplier. ”

Double rate without communication

I had a very disappointing experience with American Power & Gas. Without any clear communication or advance notice, they doubled my rate. As a result, my monthly bill jumped from $440 to nearly $900. That kind of increase is unacceptable, especially without transparent notification or explanation. Customers deserve clear, proactive communication about major rate changes so they can make informed decisions. This experience felt unfair and financially harmful.
A variable rate does not excuse a lack of transparency. Customers deserve timely communication about major pricing changes so they can make informed decisions. This experience felt financially harmful and completely avoidable with proper notice. I would strongly encourage others to monitor their rates closely and proceed with caution.
I also called to complain and I got an AI agent answering my questions. That tells you how much this company cares about its client. ”

Ripped off!
“ Called customer service to discuss why my supply rate almost doubled and the woman told me she would connect me to the right department disconnected from me on a call. Clearly on my bill states call this number for questions about my charges and she just didnt want to deal with me. I never signed up for a variable rate and how can you justify going from a .0969 rate in December to .1209 in January and now .2247 for February. Highway robbery!!! Ridiculous!!!!! I had no warning whatsoever there was to be any increases! I have already switched suppliers! ”

DO NOT SIGN - BEWARE THEIR MARKETING - RATES WILL DOUBLE -- SENIORS BEWARE
“ Marketing provides a sense of urgency and importance of clean energy. While they state rates can be higher - they do NOT state they will double. Bill went from under $200 to over $500 for small senior carriage home. When you call, it's like being in a middle school debate, trying to justify the goodness and cost of solar and wind, and that monthly rates cost more to administer. Just not true. It does not cost DOUBLE! They should be ashamed at how they increase their margins from unknowing seniors who are just trying to control their costs on a fixed income during inflationary times. They think it's acceptable to charge double and then argue that month to month administering is more -- positively aggregious! Stay with your power company. ”
